The element of Water is one of the most known and used elements in witchcraft. This element commands the most cleansing, healing, and recharging powers out of all four elements. It is the most tranquil element yet holds a great destructive force, but like Fire, this is not a negative force rather one of cleansing. This element is used in every style of workings from cleansing, banishing, healing, and protection spells. It is one of the more common ways to dispose of spell workings like jars or poppets, as it carries away all intentions with it.
Water holds many characteristics and affinities with it such as Deep emotions, balance, history, marine creatures, intuition, inward feelings, perception, sensitivity, and passiveness. The three zodiacs that rule this element(Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) draw all within their signs to be some of the more powerful skills in the emotional realms (which is good and bad). Water signs also are more likely to hold empathetic or clairvoyant powers than the other signs, though it’s not always an absolute as these signs are highly unstable.
